Information about JEE Mains

JEE Main is conducted twice a year, typically in January and April, as two separate sessions, allowing students to appear in one or both to improve their scores, with the best result being considered for ranking and admission to engineering/architecture programs. This provides students multiple chances (up to six over three years) to perform well without having to wait another year.

Key Points:

  • Frequency: Twice annually (January & April).
  • Purpose: Offers a second chance to score better and reduces exam pressure.
  • Best Score Counts: If you take both sessions, the higher score is used for your merit list.
  • Total Attempts: Students get up to 6 attempts across 3 consecutive years after passing Class 12
